DESCRIPTION
The patented computerized FWT-3H is designed for hydronic radiant floor heating applications. Its advanced automatic control capability ensures comfort with minimum energy costs.
The Digital Anticipation feature provides superior temperature regulation when compared to conventional thermostats. The FWT-3H continuously learns how best to control heating to maximize comfort by minimizing temperature variations. This feature is especially valuable in hydronic applications due to the slow control response.
The FWT-3H provides a simple analog adjustment for setting the floor temperature with an range of 50º to 95º F (10º to 35º C). Setting the adjustment fully counterclockwise inhibits heating which saves energy by not heating unoccupied areas. Status indicators show presence of power and heater operation.
The temperature sensor is embedded in the floor substrate along with the heaters. This provides quickest response and precise control. The supplied 25′ sensor cable connects the temperature sensor to the FWT-3H.
The FWT-3H operates from a 24 VAC NEC Class 2 voltage source, a normally open isolated contact rated at 3 amp resistive or 1 amp inductive. The FWT-3H provides a control relay rated for 24 VAC at 1 amp for operating zone valve and similar light loads. Controlling power line loads, including pumps, requires a customer supplied auxiliary relay rated at 5 Va or higher to operate.
